Welcome to the website of Dutch Altered Community (DAC). By accessing or using our website and its services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
Dutch Altered Community is a non-profit association based in the Netherlands. Our mission is to promote the card game Altered and foster inclusive, skill-building community activities throughout the Benelux.
2. Use of Our Services
You may use our website to:
- Learn about our mission and activities
- Register for events and purchase tickets
- Eventually create an account to participate in events or join our community
You agree to use this site in a respectful, legal, and non-disruptive manner. Hate speech, harassment, spamming, and other abusive behaviors are strictly prohibited.
3. Account Registration (Future Feature)
To register for some events in the future, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details confidential. You are responsible for any activity under your account.
4. Event Registration and Tickets
Event tickets are available for purchase via our platform. Ticket availability, pricing, and terms will be stated clearly for each event. Unless otherwise specified, tickets are non-refundable.
5. Event Attendance and Age Requirement
Participation in DAC events is subject to the following age-related policies:
- Minimum Age: Participants must be 16 years or older, unless specific conditions are met.
- Under 16 – Tournament Participation: Players younger than 16 may attend tournaments only if:
- They are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the event.
- They are able to play the game Altered without in-game assistance.
- They are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the event.
- Under 16 – Learn-to-Play Events: Younger children may attend learn-to-play sessions if accompanied and if necessary actively supported by an adult (e.g., a parent or guardian).
DAC reserves the right to deny or revoke event access if these guidelines are not respected.
6. Intellectual Property
Most images and materials related to the game Altered used on this site are the intellectual property of Equinox, the game’s publisher and rights holder. DAC has received express permission to use these materials for the purpose of promoting Altered and organizing related community events.
Dutch Altered Community is a separate and independent organisation and not officially affiliated with or owned by Equinox. Any references to Altered or its materials are made in the context of community promotion and event hosting.
All other content, including website design, event descriptions, and community content, is the property of DAC unless otherwise stated.
7. Disclaimers
We strive to keep our website content accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or uninterrupted access at all times.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only; we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
8. Limitation of Liability
DAC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or participation in any events, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European Union law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands.
